Liphook Lightshow 2009

The last week of July was the fifteenth year of the Liphook Lightshow, our holiday club for 100 children aged 5-11. The aim of Lightshow is to have fun but also to learn something important about God during the week. This year the theme was "Time Travellers". Kate Verlaque (or "Captain Never-Again") took us through a number of events through the Bible including Moses crossing the Red Sea, Gideon learning to trust God and Peter denying his friendship with Jesus but later being forgiven. Children aged 7-11 worked in teams to transform their team areas into time-travelling machines, while the younger children had their own programme of activities.

Each morning was a mixture of stories, jokes, songs, craft activities and indoor and outdoor games. As always, Lightshow was loads of fun!
