On Saturday 7th May, some of the young people from the Liphook Urban Saints Rock Solid group joined 350 other young people for a 'Grand Day Out' to Westbrook on the Isle of Wight. After an exciting hovercraft journey to the island from Southsea, we were met by coaches that took us to the Urban Saints Centre. The day then consisted of loads of different activities that were open to all. There was a popular gyro machine that turned you round and round as well as up-side down! All enjoyed having a go on this (except the leaders!).

At long last the work to cheer up the Foyer at the Church Centre and to make it a more welcoming place to come in to has just about been completed. The walls have had a new coat of paint, we have a comfortable seating area which is being well-used, as well as transfered images on some of the windows in keeping with those in our beautiful Chapel. We've also put up a large notice board that we are going to use to display photo's of parish events, such as the recent Harvest Lunch.

After a joyful and creative Harvest Thanksgiving service at St Mary's Church last Sunday, more than 80 of our church family from both St Mary's and the Church Centre, together with some visitors and guests, were able to enjoy a truly wonderful Harvest Lunch, and a time of fellowship together. Members of one of our Homegroups had clearly worked really hard to put on this event, which was their love gift to the rest of the church, and we were so well looked after!

This was the headline in the Liphook Herald following our first Live Nativity, which was held at the Church Centre on 5th December. More than 170 visitors came through the doors to experience something of the true meaning of Christmas.
