Date/time: Sat 10th November, 2007 - 9:30am
Location: Church Centre
We all listen every day. But how well do we do it? And why is it important that we learn to listen well?
Christian Listening is three dimensional: it involves listening to others, listening to ourselves and listening to God. Listening to others improves the quality of relationships in the home, church and workplace. Listening to ourselves enables us to recognize our own feelings and prejudices that may drown out others' voices. Learning to listen to God is important for our spiritual growth.
The Importance of Listening is a one-day workshop that is a practical introduction to Christian Listening. It will be held at the Church Centre on Saturday 10 November 2007 from 9.30am to 4pm. The cost of the workshop is £14. (If this is a problem, please contact one of the tutors; the church is keen that cost should not be an obstacle.)
To register or for further details, please contact the tutors: Lesley Cook (722456) and Peter Hydon (727941).
